We've awaited you impatiently, our dearest one.. now you are finally here: Liam Nikhil Habermacher, our "strong-willed" and "resilient" boy, born on the 6th of September 2019, weighing 3,570 grams at a height of 50 cm. We are feeling blessed having such a bundle of joy and are excited about the days and years to come.
With all our love,
Your Mummy and Daddy
13 September 2019: Look how big our little Liam has grown in just one week. Our little Sleep-o-Saurus
Meeting Grossmuetti and Grosspapi was really lovely! Grosspapi is so big and tall, I fit into one of his hands! I hope I will be as big and tall as him when I grow up!
In my free time, I often have a litte bit of time to ponder and think about the bigger questions in life.. like, what is that weird feeling down at my bum, or what strange sounds are surrounding me out here...
Ah Yi Aishay - one of Mummy's dearest friend from Singapore - came to visit, and stayed the night too. I wonder if she slept at all, because I was up all night (and so was Mummy and Daddy)
Mummy's milk is the best milk (only milk?) I have ever tried.. and it makes me so happy and sleepy.. ahhh..
Today I got to meet Tante Sandra, Onkel Manuel and Cousin Levin - I look forward to all the playtimes we will have together in the future.
My first bath! While it took daddy a long time to assemble the whole construction (I hope this does not have to be done every time I want to have a bath!), the bath itself was actually really nice!
I am two weeks old today, and because Mummy could not get a good picture of cranky little me, she swaddled me up like a little seal and took this picture. I suppose it is very fitting!
Daddy tried to do a photo shoot today, I felt very much like a famous movie star - can you guess who I am mimicking here? (Clue: Yeah Baby!)
Mummy, Daddy and me took a walk by the lake today and after months of being in the belly between them in their hugs - today I was in between them in a family hug!
Today, the Hebamme (midwife) shared with Mummy and Daddy some new tricks to make me sleep.. I am not sure I am a big fan of this position but well.. I am tired and here I go..
Our Hebamme (midwife) Tatjana is really so nice and lovely.. she chats with mummy when she comes over and each time Mummy and Daddy have new tools on how to understand my cries and more tricks on how to pacify me.
Sometimes mummy and daddy are putting me into some weird clothes that make me look like an old Japanese man.. now I look like Mr Miyagi (reference: Karate Kid)
Now that I have been fed, it is time for Mummy to be fed too - but of course she doesn't have more than 10mins until I cry again so she is gobbling down her lunch!
Nani on burp duty - which is every 2 hours.
Chillin' like a boss!
I can't believe I've already turned 3 weeks old! How did that happen?!
I really love tummy time on my Winnie-the-Pooh pillow - it makes me even stronger and sometimes I surprise everyone will a roll to my back!
Daddy says I should have some time out in the nature since I am a Swiss boy - but I did not like it very much with the cows, horses, sheeps and pigs. Maybe when I am older. I do like staring into Daddy's eyes though - they are so loving and kind.
A day at the pediatrician - I had a hip ultrasound to check if all is okay after being in breech position in Mummy's belly for so long, and all is fine! I am also growing really quickly and am already 57cm (95%). Frau Koppelmann thinks I will grow into a very tall boy!
Liam and his many faces and expressions - how can you not just love this little cutie pie!
04 October 2019: Mummy almost forgot my one month birthday, so she sneaked this in after the night-time bath!
Today I discovered my most favourite place in the world for a nap: in the arms of Urgrossmuetti.
Four generations of Habermacher men!
Our first family photo:)
